When was the last time you checked and greased yours?

Trailer Bearings

Well, when was the last time you greased or even checked the wheel bearings on your trailer? I have been getting ready for Moab Easter Jeep Safari whenever I can find some extra time. Today I gave the Four Wheeler Carson car hauler the once over. Aside from a rental yard trailer I think our car hauler has had the least amount of maintenance ever. Everyone wants to borrow it but no one wants to put any effort into keeping it up.

Anyway, two of the hubs were a little loose so I tightened them up a bit. Then I pumped a total of about a tube and a half of Lucas X-Tra Heavy Duty grease into all the bearings. I kept greasing until fresh grease purged from the end of the hub.

Anyway, if wheeling season is just around the corner for you, don't forget to inspect your trailer. Finding out that it needs service after it looses a wheel on the highway ain't exactly the best way to spend a vacation.
