Jeep Wrangler pickup

So now you have two '07-present JK Wrangler pickup options available, the Mopar JK-8 kit and the AEV Brute Double Cab truck. Both are based on the more-popular (and more expensive) four-door Unlimited model, but neither really fits what I would want in a Jeep pickup.

Overall I like the Gladiator concept Jeep cab better than the smaller JK-8 cab. The Gladiator cab is more useful but not so big (like the AEV Brute Double Cab) that it creates a giant wheelbase.

AEV Brute Double Cab

I like the bed of the AEV Brute Double Cab but I don't need or even want the four-doors. So I got to looking at the pics of all three Jeeps: the Gladiator concept, the JK-8, and the AEV Brute Double Cab. It looks like if you took the Gladiator cab and slapped on the Brute bed you would knock about 10-12 inches out of the wheelbase of the Brute (the Brute Double Cab and Gladiator have a similar overall length and wheelbase). That would actually be pretty doable and would bring it down to a much more functional 127-129-inch wheelbase (a little shorter than the current Ford SuperCab F-150: 133 inches). You likely would not use it as a really hardcore rock rig unless it had 40-inch tires, but it would be similar in length to a fullsize truck, only narrower. It would be a good wheelbase for speedy desert stuff too.

I really suck at photo shop but this should give you an idea of what I mean.
