Some of our long-time readers will remember a time when we had a project truck named Project RangeRunner. RangeRunner was a 2002 Ford Ranger FX4 with a Dixon Brothers Racing Long Travel kit and Explorer Express supercharger, among other things. It was a fun capable truck. We're proud to tell you that even though it has been out of the magazine for several years, the truck is still very much alive and well.... with the exception of needing steering rack number four.

We're not going to get too much into how exactly we went about changing the steering rack but for fun here are some photos of the recent work as proof the truck still lives. We had three guys working on it and it took us about four hours to swap in the driveway. Not a difficult task and certainly not worth the $800 the dealer wanted to do the job.
