It is embarassing. My workbench is a mess. I swear it doesn't always look like this (sometimes it is worse).
I'll admit, when I am in the middle of a project (or several), my workbench tends to get away from me. The tools stack up, the Dr. Pepper cans are prevalent, and I can't find a damned thing.
Right now is one of those times. Over the past couple of week I have been getting my JK ready for TDS and finishing up some little things, such as grinding the track bar relocation bracket to make more room for my steering stabilizer, adding an ARB wiring loom for my Fridge Freezer, and installing a solar charge controller for an upcoming story. I have also been working on a few installs for this year's JK Garage and tinkering with different cargo carrying setups. That is all in addition to the "Honey-Dos" and other household chores, like re-gluing my daughters favorite rocking chair.
The worst part of being messy is that I can never find my dykes and I always have the ends of several zip ties stabbing me in the back when I am under the Jeep. I am so bad at finding things, I literally have two knives, two flashlights, and two pairs of gloves handy - just in case I can't find where I put the first pair. By looking at the mess, you'd think I had an assistant. Maybe I need one.
With the June issue out the door and a slight break in the action I hope to wrap up my installs and finally return my workbench to its organized former glory. Maybe I'll even put up a picture of what it looks like when everything is back in its place.
For know I just need to figure out where I put that screwdriver. Has anyone seen it?
