Nope, it's not the Army we're talking about. The El Centro Field Office of the BLM is recruiting students interested in enhancing their college studies through paid internships. Field Manager Margaret L. Goodro is promoting this youth initiative: "This is a great opportunity to get youth engaged in Land Management and build a diverse workforce for the future."
Students enrolled in high school, vocational and technical schools, colleges and universities should contact the El Centro Field Office if they are interested in participating in student programs. Resumes are now being accepted for a variety of positions, including biologists, archaeologists, realty specialists, law enforcement and park rangers, etc. Oh, and some of the public lands under the El Centro Field Office's jurisdiction include Imperial Dunes, a.k.a. Glamis.
