Oversized load

Abrams Tank

I'm sure someone can identify this Abrams tank. I'm just not sure if it's an M1, an M1A1, or an M1A2. And I highly doubt it's an M1A3 prototype just cruising down the highway uncovered. I'm actually pretty sure it's not military-owned since it looks like it's on a civilian trailer. Plus there are a lot of Hollywood movie-vehicle companies near where I live. I suspect this tank is owned by one of those compaines.

Anyway, I just thought it looked cool on the trailer. If any of you military guys can identify it, go for it! But be sure to tell us why it is what you know it is.

Really can't tell from this shot, a good picture guy would have taken photos of the back side and top view. Yes it is a M1, the main difference between the M1 and M1A1 was the smoother 120mm bore cannon which is not visible to the eye, they also added a grenade launcher on the side of the tank, this is visible from the naked eye. They also added a lot of hydraulic upgrades.

M1A1 vs M1A2 was the addition of a new access hatch on the engine compartment, also the plus up of add on armor kit. They also added a new
track design.

Most of the upgrades to all of the models are internal dealing with the weapons or nav systems.

This one appears to be a M1A2, I do see the grenade launcher, since all the tanks deployed have added the add on armor it's hard to tell.
