That's right, I did it. I ordered my 2012 Wrangler Unlimited JK and I am taking delivery with 3.21 gears and open diffs. No Rubicon here, I went with a Sahara. I plan on taking out most of the Rubi stuff anyway, and for my kind of wheeling, the 2.72:1 case should be fine. With Sahara Tan out of production for '12 already, I went with Flame Red. And yes, true to my words in this magazine, it has a stick.
So what is the plan? Well, I am looking at 37s, 5.13 gears, a reinforced Rubi 44 housing, ARBs front and rear, bumpers, among other things. I'll also be using this Jeep to investigate some of the issues that have come up with the 12's, such as front driveshaft interference with the crossover pipe and front bumper fitment issues. I'll post up some more info as soon as my Jeep gets in. In the meantime, I have to think up some good names or personalized plates.
