Greetings fellow wheelers...

It's that time again.

The annual Specialty Equipment After Market Association show is taking place in Las Vegas, Nevada.

I'm blogging live each day to show you the coolest stuff I find while trekking through the various booth displays.

On day one, the first thing I noticed was a general increase in foot traffic over last year.

The show was crowded!

Simply getting from place to place for the various appointments I had scheduled was a challenge.

One of the first press conferences of the day was that of Falkin Tire.

Falkin announced a new marketing initiative surrounding its recently expanded light truck tire line Falkin is now the Official Truck Tire of Monster Energy AMA Supercross.

The usual dog and pony show continued in the wheel and tire area. Attractive young ladies (models) were everywhere signing posters and posing for pictures.

These gals really know how to attract guys into booths...

Some companies even had their models performing more domestic roles in their booth. Who can resist a warm chocolate chip cookie from such an attractive gal?

Cookies anyone?

Outside, between the South and Centeral Halls, Source Interlink Media, Four Wheeler's Parent company, had a vehicle show of their own which included some of the coolest vehicles ever featured in the many magazines they publish each month.

Later in the day, Source Interlink's Publishing staff had various meetings arranged in the Center hall upstairs meeting rooms. There, various advertisers  met with members of SIM's Editorial Staff to discuss new products and get input from those with their fingers on the pulse of the industry.

The last booth visit of the day for me was that of Local Motors.

If you haven't read about the new Rally Fighter kit car, YOU NEED TO FOLLOW THIS LINK.

The Rally Fighter is a new type of car that opens up the creativity and supply chain involved in manufacturing automobiles to anybody. Yes, if you dreamed of designing and building your own car, specific to your own needs, Local Motors is the company that will make it happen for you.
