Turns out, SVT Raptor buyers are customizing their rigs with Ford Racing Performance Parts and the top-seller is the halogen lights and accompanying light bar.

Ford says the black powdercoated lights are available in either 8- or 6-inch diameters and are the same brand and and use the same engineering as the lights that lit the way for the SVT Raptor R to a podium finish at the 41st Tecate SCORE Baja 1000 in 2008.

Also of interest, Ford says the new 411 horsepower 6.2L-powered Raptor is now for sale at dealerships across the country.  Over 7,000 orders have been placed for the SVT Raptor and nearly 3,000 of those have been for the 6.2L-equipped vehicle.  Ford says this is a fast start, selling three times quicker than the average F-150.

Trivia: The first 6.2L SVT Raptor was purchased by NASCAR driver Greg Biffle.
