The folks over at Superlift 4xAdventure have announced that they are returning to Terlingua, Texas, for their 2010 event series kickoff April 30-May 2. This is a momentus occasion, because they haven't had an event at this incredible location for a number of years.
Why is this location incredible? Well, it's 7,000 acres of remote, privately-owned land that is off-the-hook beautiful and not normally open to the public. The wheeling ain't bad either. The land features obstacles like Stairway To Heaven, Packsaddle, Lower/Upper Creek, Badlands Overlook, and Tiger Tail.
We attended the Terlingua Superlift 4xAdventure in 1998 and to this day it stands out in our memory as one of the most memorable events ever. We still clearly remember the incredible canyons and mind-boggling panoramic views. The area is so remote it feels as though you're the first person to ever lay eyes on it. We remember standing on a mountain where Stairway To Heaven is located, taking in the stunning views as participants fought their way up the boulder-strewn trail.
In addition to an all-exclusive look at these trails, Superlift 4xAdventures' Sean Lipscomb says, "I have a local band from the area there in Terlingua hired for Saturday evening's festivities after the raffle, which promises to have some local flavor for the guests."
The super-unique Terlingua Superlift 4xAdventure is one of a six-event series in 2010. More info can be found at www.4xadventures.com.
