General Motors announced today that Sichuan Tengzhong Heavy Industrial Machines Company Ltd. was unable to complete the acquisition of Hummer. 

The result, GM says, is that they "will now work closely with Hummer employees, dealers and suppliers to wind down the business in an orderly and responsible manner."

Over the years we've wheeled (and even raced) Hummer vehicles at length. From a Moab trail thrashfest to our 3,000-mile-plus California-to-Illinois H2our De Force to our Arizona-based Trail 'n Tents adventure to brutal Of The Year competitions to long-term testing to factory long leads to our project Trailhugger H3, we've piled on the miles.  Good memories, indeed.
