I have just arrived in Buenos Aires to cover the prestigious Dakar Rally for Fourwheeler magazine.  Dakar veterans Robin Stover and David Kennedy were helpful in preparing me for the trip, but did I bring everything that I will need?

Passport? Check.

Camera(s)? Check.

Laptop? Check.

Helmet? Check.

Sleeping Bag and Pad? Check.

Lots of lightweigh, breathable Ex Officio shirts? Check.

Lots of synthetic, quick drying The North Face and Columbia pants? Check.

Plenty of socks and underwear? Check.

Monster and Red Bull Energy shots? Check.

Odacova Organic Granola? Check.

Soap, shampoo, toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant and towel? Check

Headlamp? Leatherman? Steri-Pen? Check. Check. Check.

Am I missing anything?  I hope not, because I only have two days in Buenos Aires before we start the race!

Check back tomorrow for an update from scrutineering and more news on Dakar 2010.
