Hella has just introduced a new line of taillamp upgrade kits that feature a combination of LED and Hella CELIS technology, and they provide faster illumination and higher visibility.
We all know what LED lights are, but what is CELIS? Well, CELIS stands for Central Lighting System. Hella says this system is a revolution in vehicle lighting that uses "light guides" (fiber optics) to provide precise and reliable lighting output. These extremely flexible light guides transport light from a single source into configurations that create lighting patterns never seen before.
In the new Hella lights, LED lights are used to perform the stop/turn functions and CELIS is used to handle the taillamp and parking lamp functions.
These new lights are available for the '03-'11 Chevy Silverado, '07-'08 Dodge Ram, '04-'08 Ford F-150, and '06-'09 Toyota Tundra. All kits feature easy plug-n-play installation. They come complete with two LED/CELIS taillamps, cab-mounted LED brake lamp, and mounting instructions.
