Because life without destruction would be pretty darn boring.

We just love smashing stuff up. At this point, we’ve managed to work through the various stages of grief, anger, guilt, and denial we felt yesterday when our former Source Interlink Media employee lounge/lunch spot/smoking section went under the jackhammer and the pickaxe. In fact, we’re reveling in the sight of all that rubble today. Now if they would only let us play in it!

Yesterday, it was our outdoor lounge. Today, it’s a nice little replica of the Little Sluice Box. Too bad the construction guys won’t let us ‘wheel it.

Today’s Wheeler in The Hood is the Bobcat Turbo 863, a 73hp turbodiesel might mite that was down for some serious jackhammer action today.

The former “Fishbowl” conference center is now almost completely gutted. Word is the new owners will turn this space into a restaurant, which would be totally awesome if only we were still gonna be around to eat there.

The Bobcat S220 performs a little “course construction” on our homegrown Mini-Rubicon.

Nothing is sacred. For all intents and purposes, the “Petersen Building” hasn’t really existed since the high-rise was sold over a year ago. But when the name comes off the sign today, it’ll mark the end of a golden era, and we have to admit, we will be sorry to see it go.
