Today we spent the day with a great group of people at the Washita ATV/MX/Jeep Park and Trails near Farmington, Missouri.
The park is only three years old, and it boasts well over 1,000 acres of land and over 20 miles of trails. The trails are designed to appeal to a wide variety of skill levels. There's everything from easy stuff a stocker can do to wild 'n crazy challenges that will keep the most hardcore wheeler entertained. On top of that, the park is in an absolutely beautiful setting that will appeal to those who love the outdoors. Go check out the park's website: www.washitaoffroadtrails.com.
Speaking of a beautiful setting, this was our lunch location today. Check out that awesome view! It's one of many great lookouts on the property.
We hit the trail with 17 rigs that ran the gamut of models and build styles. Following is a tally of the rigs:
Bob Gilmore's CD Fab tube chassis buggy.
Chris Harbinson's '99 TJ.
Chris Harbinson's rig #2, a custom buggy.
Danielle Naeger's '94 YJ.
Jeremy Naeger's '02 custom buggy.
Scott Cason's Creative Offroad Designs buggy.
Jack Tucker's '06 Unlimited Rubicon.
Charles Meyer's '98 Discovery.
Jim Klouzek's '97 Wrangler buggy.
Rod Thompson's '04 Skull Splitter.
Rick Freeman's '87 TJ buggy.
And finally, Bobby Duncan's '68 Bronco.
It was an honor to wheel with these folks. What an outstanding group of people. After a full day of wheeling the fine folks at the Washita park rustled up a fantastic meal to round out our day. Thanks goes out to the staff of Washita for their kindness.
Yep, we'll have a detailed story on the Washita park and our 17-rig-run in an upcoming issue of Four Wheeler, so stay tuned.
