Brian Dooley at www.hummerguy.net hooked us up with a few photos from a run The Hummer Club took to Drummond Island, Michigan, recently.  This is an annual event for the club and as you'll soon see, it drew a wide range of Hummer vehicles.   

Twenty-five Hummers hit the trail and the tally included 10 H1's, 5 H2's and 10 H3's.  All total, there were 43 adults and 13 children on the trail run.

Participants came from all over.  The average distance was 464 miles one-way.  The shortest distance traveled was 303 miles one-way, while the longest distance was 935 miles one-way.

Hummer brought along a couple of vehicles including a 2010 H3T.

The H3's hit the "Tight and Twisties" trail. 

During the course of the event, the Hummers wheeled the upper part of Turtle Ridge ORV Park including the Citadel, Mini Rubicon, and Halfshaft Hill obstacles.

Rainy conditions meant there was plenty of Michigan mud.

GM has a history with Drummond Island dating back to 2003.  From what we hear, GM representatives went to the island in the past and worked with the DNR to help remove debris, including trash and even several vehicles.  They also donated $10,000 to Tread Lightly! at a mini-banquet.  Hummers have helped clean up debris by repelling off Marble Head and has moved vehicles off the trails and some out of the woods.    

We're told that The Hummer Club is the first organization to get all of the approved ORV trail system available for use during an event.
