Today we spent a fascinating day with the folks at Rough Country Suspension Systems in Dyersburg, Tennessee.
We're here to generate two suspension installation stories for the January issue of Four Wheeler. One of the kits is brand spankin' new and we can't wait to tell you about it, and we will, in due time. What we can say is the kit is a long-arm system for a very popular SUV. And it has an affordable price point that'll blow you away.
What else did we see today?
We got an inside look at what it takes to develop a new suspension system. Gone are old skool days of making cardboard patterns and what not. Today the work is done via computer, like Rough Country Product Development Technician Bryan Nale, showed us. The technology they have is incredible.
We also got to watch as they created a piece for a prototype suspension using their Hypertherm plasma cutter. Rough Country has a slew of machines that allow them to make parts in-house.
Tomorrow we're back at Rough Country all day and we'll get to see both of the rigs in action on the trail. Stay tuned.
