This piece of equipment is cool.  What is a VoltaBox?  Well, quite simply it's a fully-functional bed-mounted toolbox that is designed with an integrated capability to generate 110-volt electrical power using solar energy.  This is what the box looked like when we pulled off the cardboard shipping container.

This is the 80-watt solar panel in its shipping container.  It mounts on the lid of the toobox and sends power to a battery that's mounted in a trick enclosure inside the toolbox.  The system has a charge controller and a 2,000-watt inverter among other things. The box has one external power receptacle and four receptacles inside the box.

STAY TUNED!  We're installing and testing the VoltaBox and soon we'll blog an overview of the VoltaBox and we'll have a Krappy Kam video of its install and function.  If you want more info in the meantime, visit www.voltabox.com
