Because "synthetic" is often far better than "organic".

Our good amigos at Master-Pull are offering their 5/16-inch Superline XD synthetic winch line in an even stronger application, with an improved breaking strength of 21,000 pounds. The new XD shares the same features as the previous-gen XD, such as a pre-stretched core that gives the line its superior strength. Covering the entire core is a heavy duty braided cover made of the same Dyneema fiber the core is composed of. The Superline XD cover completely protects the core from UV rays and protects against abrasion. And the XD’s cover keeps all dirt and sand from entering the core, so the line’s strength is never compromised. This in turn increases the safety and lifespan of the winch line, which means it can be used much longer without replacement. To find out more,  check out Master Pull's  website here.
