My Favorite Moments

Unarguably one of the most memorable Top Truck Challenges I've been a part of, 2009 will go down in the history books as the one where the Judges and Recovery Crew saved the show.

My Favorite Moments from TTC 2009:

1. The Sheeley's Live

Without giving away the whole story, I feel it is only proper to convey just how well prepared our guys were for what we all feared might happen.

One picture tells a thousand words...

Here, still caughing up Hollister muck, Addy Sheeley is thankful to be alive.

I recall the terror that came upon me when I listened to the words of Judge Dan Black, "They're upside down in hole two, notify rescue".

When I arrived on the scene, I was overcome with joy that could only come from seeing them alive and well.

 2. Fred pulls off the Unimaginable

With what everyone was referring to as the smallest rig at Top Truck, and a broken front hub, somehow Williams was able to drive the UA FJ up the Tank Trap with little drama.

Fred Williams and John Huebanks were happy it was over.

3. Arrival of the Mud Terminators

We have never seen a more challenging mud pit at TTC. Period. The goo was so, so thick, it virtually made the guys with open buggies look like creatures from another planet.

Wow, was that mud stickey
Opps, we forgot the hardtop...

4. She's a Fast Machine... She Keeps it Warm and Clean...

Seriously though, Jamie Eulburg is one of the best dam female drivers I've ever seen. Here she's seen haming it up for our cameras.

What a gal!

Somehow she's still clean

5. Roadkill in Tank Trap

I've often thought a cummins 12-valve would be the best possible power plant for Tank Trap. No ignition to get wet, no computer to drown. With tractor tires spinning Dave Green made our deepest pond look like a flash flood was coming at the camera.

Roadkill meets Tank Trap
