Over the past few months we've been blogging about the "Forty Something" JK that Dan McKeag at Burnsville Off Road has been building.  Well, here's the finished product!

The first time we saw the JK it looked like this.  The project was underway, but still in the early stages.

fs3

The next time we saw it, a number of things had been done and it was beginning to take shape.

fs4

This is how it looked at our last visit.  It was getting ready to go into the paint booth.

It was done in time for Moab, and was looking good.  Here's some of the features of this rig:

*42-inch tires with only 3 inches of lift.

*A significant amount of bodywork including new raised and heavily-braced front fenders.

*A 440ci V-8 with EFI producing 700hp. This engine sits on 1.5-inch-higher custom motor mounts and has a composite intake to help control heat.

*Notched front frame to help with steering clearance.

*Relocated Currie axles with Detroits and 5.38's- rear axle pushed rearward 4 inches, front axle pushed forward 1-inch.

*Atlas 2-speed 5:1 transfer case.

*BREAKING NEWS*: Have you been drooling over the Mopar Underground "Lower Forty" JK that we've been blogging about?  Do you wish that zero-lift, 40-inch tire'd, Hemi-powered bad boy was in your garage?  Well, we're getting word that within the next few days Burnsville Off Road will announce that they will offer replicas of Lower Forty.  Keep checking back here and we'll have the official lowdown as soon as it becomes available.
