For those of you who want to fit your Jeep JK with race shocks, a press release from JKS Manufacturing crossed our desks that may be of interest. They are now offering their Bar Pin Adapters (shown) for the rear upper mounts on the '07-and-up JK Wrangler.

JKS says, "To achieve the highest level of performance from any off-road suspension, professional racing shock absorbers must be installed.  But the spherical bearings found on these special dampers are not compatible with original equipment shock mounts.  That's why we created Bar Pin Adapters.  These ingenious adapters make it incredibly easy to install racing shocks on factory vehicle applications in just a matter of minutes."

JKS' latest version is designed specifically for the rear upper shock mounts on '07-and-up JKs.  They say their new Bar Pin Adapters will accomodate the 1/2-inch or 12mm ID x 5/8 wide spherical bearings utilized by manufacturers like Bilstein, Sway-A-Way and Fox.

The Bar Pin Adapters are made from premium grade steel that has been machined and zinc-plated and they utilize mounting blocks with a unique conical shape to take advantage of the additional flexibility provided by the spherical bearings.

The JK Bar Pin Adapters are selling for only $85 per pair on the JKS website.  JKS also has applications for the TJ, XJ, MJ and ZJ for $63 per pair.
