Tools of the Trade

Just in time for Moab,

I recieved my new Cannon 50D DSLR camera from Costco this week.

My initial opinion:

Awesome!

I've been shooting on a Cannon 30D for two years now.

The increase in speed (FPS burst rate), ISO sensitivity, and the 3-inch review screen make this camera much better for my needs. At 15.1 Megapixils it also trumps my 30D's ability to shoot clear cover shots.

It came with a killer 28-135 Cannon lense with Image Stabilizer, for just $1,326.00

The Screen on the back is much easier to see and it even has a live view function.

Needless to say I'm stoaked with my purchase.

If you happen to run into me driving our project Teal Brute in Moab next week, ask me to take a picture of your rig in HD mode, I'll put together a little slide show for the website when I get back.

Happy trails.
