When we saw this '07 FJ Cruiser TRD on the hoist at Attitude Performance in Arlington Heights, Illinois, we just had to grab a couple of images so we could tell you about it.
Showing it on the hoist really doesn't do this rig justice, but that's where it was during our brief visit, so that's the way it is. It's owned by Erik Johnson of Hawthorn Woods, Illinois, and Johnson has done a lot of cool things to it. Here's a quick list:
TRD supercharger; Donahoe 3-inch coilovers and rear shocks; Total Chaos upper control arms; Wild West Offroad high-clearance lower control arms; All-Pro swaybar collars and links; Yukon 4.56 gears; front ARB Air Locker; Demello Offroad front bumper and skidplate; Warn 9,000 winch; Aero & Hella lights; All-Pro high-clearance exhaust; Unichip performance computer module; two Powertank units; American Racing Fuel wheels; and 285/75-16 Super Swampers.
The team at Attitude was getting ready to install this Inchworm 4.7:1 gear-drive transfer case.
The FJ was also getting an All-Pro heavy-duty steering kit. This is one of the beefy links that comes with the kit.
Johnson notes that a solid axle swap may be in this FJ's future. Nice.
