That's right folks...

The Legendary Mint 400 off-road race is back.

And we are there to capture the action first hand.

General Tire celebrated the race's return to Las Vegas in true retro styling.

Last night General hosted a "Bringing Back the 80's" costume extravaganza at Gold Diggers night club inside The Golden Nugget Casino and hotel.

Things took a turn for the strange during the evening's costume contest elimination round.



Shown in the very moment she found out, miss Mint 400 2009 erupted with joy about winning the sought-after title.


Despite not knowing it was a costume party,Trophy Truck driver Pistol Pete Sohren fit right into the nights theme. Look, even professional racers can dance!



Proving old friendships can stand through even the toughest of times, Four Wheeler Publisher, Jeff Nasi, and Dirt Sports founder, Jim Ryan reminess about the good old days...


Perhapts the most original costume from the night's festivities was that of Trophy Truck driver, Rick D Johnson in what he said he found in the back of his closet.



Pro Racer and Motorcross champ, Mikey Childress was present to school any nay-sayeres about cross-over driver skills.



Even our own excutives showed up for the festivities.

Trophy Lite's Matt Scaroni was on hand holding it down for those of us who can't afford to race with the big dogs. Trophy Lite offers a more economical option for the budget-minded desert racer.


Even Baja's god of radio communications, Bob Weatherman Steinburger was seen enjoying the scenery.


Team 71 co-owner Myrl Akerman and General Tire's US division manager, Travis Roffler show their 80's fashon sense while posing for our lense.
