I just got back from a pilgrimage to Bergstrom Hummer in Madison, Wisconsin, to have the our project Trailhugger H3 serviced.      

Trailhugger has been on the road a lot lately, and the miles are piling up.  You'd think that some kind of gremlin would be rearing its ugly head now that our rig has climbed over 30,000 miles, but nothing major so far.

Our service stop this time around was pretty standard, beginning with a rotation of our BFG All-Terrain tires.

After that it was oil and filter and a topping off of fluids.  Recently we have been hearing a squeaking noise from under the truck, and it's only audible inside the cabin.  We asked Hummer technician Mike Wedel about this and he knew right where to go.  He removed the four front body mount bolts and sprayed lube on the metal sleeves and then reassembled the components.  Squeak gone.  Total fix time about four minutes.  

While I've been busy with Trailhugger, Holman has been busy with our Power Wagon.  He just fitted it with some mega-cool brand spankin' new Mickey Thompson wheels and 35-inch tires.  Now he's getting ready to level the rig (turns out 35's do in fact rub on a stock Power Wagon) and install a trailer brake controller among other things.

We have some big plans for Trailhugger and the Power Wagon in the next couple of weeks so stay tuned.
