No Duramax 4.5L Diesel Engine For GM 2010 Light-Duty Pickups

General Motors announced today that "given the current economic climate," they have decided to not offer the Duramax 4.5L V-8 diesel engine in the 2010 Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra light-duty trucks.

According to the press release GM says they remain optimistic that the Duramax 4.5L diesel may be a viable option in its future portfolio, but for right now the program is on "indefinite hold."
