Here's a cool way to integrate forward-facing lights into your rig.
They're the Ansani Designs fiberglass truck bumpers with integral light pods. They're a available for the '03-'07 Silverado/Sierra 2500HD, '07-'09 Silverado/Sierra, '08-'09 F-250, and '07-'09 Tundra, with more applications in development.
These bumpers are direct replacements for the factory bumpers and they're made by hand using a combination of uni-directional fiberglass and 'glass mat along with polyester resin. Ansani says this produces maximum strength at the lowest possible weight. They also note that, depending on application, the bumpers are 40%-50% lighter than OE steel. These bumpers are shipped ready-to-paint, though custom painting and hydro-printed finishes are optional. They can also be manufactured from hand-laid composite carbon-fiber by special order.
The three auxiliary light mounting pods are 8 or 8.75 inches in diameter depending on application. Hella Rallye 4000 lights are recommended for the 2500HD bumper, while KC Rally 800 lights are recommended for the other apps listed.
