Wearin' (and drinkin') a bit o' The Green for St. Patty's.
We get press releases in our mailbox. All kinds of press releases. Some of which don't have a doggone thing to do with four wheeling, or trucks, or Jeep, or even plain-old cars. Like this one, from a local PR firm that reps some high-end liquor brands. Normally, we'd toss stuff like this into the ol' Outlook recycle bin, but since St. Patrick's Day is right around the corner, we thought we'd share it here anyway. Personally, we'll take a nice chilled Guinness any day, and we make no claims for how this concoction tastes, but for those of you with
bigger wallets cast iron livers more refined palettes, we offer this recipe as a public service. Press release follows:
This St. Patrick’s Day, as the country rivers run green and dreams of Ireland abound – heather, golf, rough weather and all that blarney – we are proud to introduce a festive new Irish cocktail – Shamrocked, featuring Tullamore Dew Irish Whiskey, Midori Melon Liqueur, & Carolans Irish Cream.
2 oz. Midori Melon Liqueur
.5 oz of Tullamore Dew Irish Whiskey
.5 oz of Carolans Irish cream liqueur
Shake incredibly well, serve in 3 oz. shot glass
