Warm Up

Thirty-Eight Feels Great

Woohoo!  After 26 days of not breaking the freezing mark here at the Illinois Four Wheeler Midwest Bureau, yesterday the temp climbed to a balmy 38 degrees F.!

That may not seem like a big deal to you folks in warm climates, but we're pretty stoked.  That number represents a 73-degree improvement from the low of -35 on January 16.

Almost everyone I know was out working on something yesterday.  I fixed a temperamental electric fencer and then took the opportunity to head down to the barn to fire up our Geo Tracker that hasn't been ran since last summer.  It started right up.  That thing never fails to impress me.  Unfortunately an energetic high-speed romp through the snow in the fields ripped the right front passenger side brake line off, so it looks like I get to fix that.

Today is supposed to be another warm one, so if you'll excuse me...
