After years of research and development and thousands of hours of testing, Summit Racing introduces its Summit Racing Street & Strip Carburetors. Available to consumers beginning January 2009, these 4-barrel square-bore carbs are ready to run right out of the box with minimal tuning, provide great throttle response and performance, and give you top-dollar carb features—all at an affordable starting price of $249.95!
The Summit Racing Street & Strip Carburetors are crafted from aluminum for warp resistance, weight savings, and excellent calibration retention, and have a tumble-polished body and black anodized trim for an attractive appearance. The advanced one-piece design eliminates gaskets below the fuel line for leak-free operation, and includes exclusive color-coded vacuum ports for easy installation. Other features include a 30cc accelerator pump (dual pumps on mechanical secondary model), annular discharge boosters, thick base plate surface, and a high-flowing power valve channel with a valve guaranteed for a million miles.
The Summit Racing Street & Strip carburetor is wet-flow tested and pre-calibrated for excellent street performance on a wide variety of vehicles and small or big block V8 engines. To make tuning as easy as possible, there are clear sight glass float windows to help set the externally adjustable center-hung floats, plus a new booster cluster design with interchangeable pump discharge and idle circuit restrictions—features previously found only on more expensive carbs. The Street & Strip Carburetor is also compatible with standard Holley tuning parts, which are available at Summit Racing Equipment. We even include a chrome-plated steel fuel line, base gaskets, and hardware to make installation a breeze.
All Summit Racing Street & Strip Carburetors have been thermal shock, vibration, pressure, and salt spray tested. They have clocked over 1,000 hours on the dyno and thousands of miles of real-world driving on a wide variety of vehicles.
The carburetors are available in three versions: vacuum secondary/electric choke 600 cfm ($249.95), vacuum secondary/electric choke 750 cfm ($259.95), and mechanical secondary/manual choke 750 cfm ($329.95).
