A big shout out and a hefty round of applause for Yamaha, 'cause in '08 they donated over $700,000 in cash and equipment as part of their Open Access Initiative.  The primary purpose of the OHV Access Initiative includes trail restoration, development and maintenance; trail signage and map production; staging area construction, renovation and maintenance; land stewardship and education; responsible OHV riding education and outreach; and legislative lobbying efforts.

Yamaha says that in the programs first year they provided GRANTs (Guaranteeing Responsible Access to our Nation's Trails) to over 65 local, regional and national organizations representing the greater OHV community.

Best of all, the program will continue in 2009.  Outstanding work, Yamaha.
