Buttress for Your Boingers

Because bowing belongs on a violin, not your Jeep.

Did you know that the rear coil springs on 2007-and-later Jeep Wranglers are highly susceptible to bowing if the lower spring mounts are not positioned correctly? Why, as little as 2 measly inches of suspension lift can rotate the axle just enough to cause visible bowing. If that wasn't embarrassing enough, installing a CV-type rear driveshaft or taller lift will actually force the passenger-side coil spring into the rear track bar. Ouch!

What's worse, if this problem is not corrected, significant damage to the coil springs (and track bar) will occur, eventually leading to failure. Now what?

But wait, there's a solution: the new Adjustable Spring Mounts from our friends at JKS Manufacturing. They enable the user to reposition the lower spring mounts at any time with no welding required whatsoever. Premium grade 1/2-inch U-bolts with rolled threads (20 per inch) provide more than enough clamping strength to keep the Adjustable Spring Mounts securely attached to the axle housing. Add the optional Coil Spring Retainers, and you can put your mind at ease knowing that your next day on the trail will be a bow-free experience, no muss, no fuss. Check out JKS's Website for all the details.
