The Aspen line of lightweight pop-up campers was originally designed by the folks at Trailmaster, Inc. to be light enough to be pulled by a touring motorcycle, but changes in the economy and fuel prices has gave 'em a bump in popularity with light truck and car owners.

The Ambassador (above) is the world's smallest and lightest hard-top pop-up camper and the flagship of the Aspen line.  It's designed for fast and easy set-up in just minutes.  It offers 77 square feet of interior room with 52 square feet of off-the-ground bedding under an 80-inch-high ceiling.  It also offers 28 cubic feet of usable cargo space.  Made of vacuum-formed, Korad-capped, UV-stabilized ABS, the body and matching seamless ABS hardtop weighs in at only 365 lbs. with a 24 lb. tongue weight.  It has a current on-sale price of $4395.
