Facing foreclosure? We've got a solution.

Yep, the Petersen Building on Wilshire Boulevard is coming up for lease---all 210,000 square feet of it. Which (we think) means we'll be moving next year?
In reality, the 18-story behemoth, opened in 1982 and affectionately known as the "Death Star" to generations of employees (due to its considerable distance from any convenient freeway access), is no longer the Petersen Building per se, having been sold last year to a private development group---which apparently has some big plans in store for it! As you can see, a "comprehensive restoration" is already underway, which we haven't actually seen any signs of yet but which probably includes swapping in a bunch of new Roach Motels granite countertops for the 8th-floor men's room. But we digress.
Anyway, this will mark an end of an era of sorts, as we move on from one set of digs to another. Where are we going? Who knows? Four Wheeler has resided in a number of locations during its 46-year history, starting in Bob Ames's living room in Tarzana, followed by residences in Canoga Park, Hollywood, Tarzana again, Canoga Park again, Santa Monica (Ocean Park, two miles from the beach: ahhhh, those were the days) and since 1999 right here in the bustling Miracle Mile.
Anyway, if you're in the market for some hot office space, check out the information on the sign, and contact the property dudes. And we'll keep you posted when we know we're the heck we're going next year. Like they say, it ain't the destination, it's the journey that counts.
Update: We tried logging on to the developer's website to get more info on those extensive restoration plans. What do you know, the site's not working yet. Ah well, Roma non fu fatto in un giorno and all that. Like we said earlier, we'll keep you posted.
Update II (Dec. 17): Okay, okay, hold your horses, we're not going anywhere right away. And just to alleviate any potential worries, we kinda suspected we'd be moseying on sometime soon since the Building Formerly Known as Petersen changed owners last year. But since the sign went up yesterday, we thought we'd have a little fun on the Website with it.
Rest assured, though, that wherever we relocate, we'll still be kicking out the best darn 4x4 magazine on the planet each month. We've been in business for 46 years now, we're still going strong, and we plan to be around for at least 46 more. Just so ya know.
