Day 2: Today the show opened to those lucky enough to be part of our marvelous industry.
As the bell rang out a flood of people rushed into the convention center to see what the creative types of our country came up with this go around. For me I spent the morning popping in on industry friends to see what new products lie in wait. I found myself at Rancho Suspension and Dynomax muffler's booth early for a introduction to their latest offerings. At Rancho Suspension the only real noteworthy news was the lift kit for the new F-150 pickup.
Dynomax, on the other hand, had awesome news about their entire exhaust line. Going forward all Dynomax exhaust systems and mufflers are going to be constructed entirely of 409 Stainless steel instead of traditional aluminized steel. This should help increase sales in regions where heavy snowfall and salty roads take an adverse toll on exhaust parts.
After my meeting with Dynomax I headed over to the Off-Road section to see more cool stuff.
I noticed Daystar's Hummer H3T in the Snugtop booth showing off the new slant-back shell. I love the look of these trucks with this type of shell mounted.
Speaking of H3s check out our very own Trail Hugger Project rig parked in the prestigious GM booth!
Another pimp'd out Hummer was hard to miss in the main hall. This green machine rides on Mattracks and is everything we can say about SEMA in once cleanly displayed package. Nothing on this rig was left untouched. I estamate the cost of this H1 to be someware in the half million range.
This H2, also on Mattracks was just outside the main hall. I'm begining to wonder if Mattracks are on sale or something...
And look another Hummer on tracks...something's fishy about this.
By far the most creative booth of the off-road section was the Daystar booth.
This upside down JK made everyone do a double take.
