Off Roading is Expensive!

As I sit here and count down the minutes till I can head out to Glamis for the Halloween weekend I'm reflecting on how much the hobby actually costs us... and I can't believe we do it!

Honestly, this is just nuts. Looking only at my truck in the parking lot I've got a full tank of fuel to get there and back ($90), a cooler full of food, water, and frosty beverages for one person for one weekend ($85), two gas cans of fuel for the bike ($30), a pass so that I can legally recreate in Glamis ($25), and then lunch, snacks, and Rockstars for the driver there and back ($30). So for 1 1/2 days of riding it's costing  about $260 bucks.

This is just with the bike! Not imagine if you will I take my pre-runner out. Now we're talking two tanks of fuel in the tow rig ($180), two tanks in the pre-runner ($120), plus the same food, incidentals, and pass and we're talking almost $450 for one weekend of fun, and that's not counting broken parts!

Crazy huh...
