Now that my daughter is 15-months old and loves burnouts, bumps, and strong acceleration, I thought it would be about time to take her to the trail and show her a little bit of the off roading world in a family environment.
I was invited on Saturday out to the dedication of the new information kiosk donated by the San Diego 4 Wheelers to the BLM/Superstition OHV area with their BFGoodrich Outstanding Trails money. Since it was a day ride on a Saturday and I needed to test out and take new pictures of the 'Con on the trail with its new Walker Evans wheels, BFGoodrich A/T tires, ARB diff covers, and a few other new odds and ends. I thought this would be a perfect opportunity to bring my wife Heather and daughter Marin along for the day and to test out our upgraded Rubicon Express suspension with Light Racing jounces in desert terrain.
After the San Diego 4 Wheelers took us on a nice and fun little run, I can tell you the JK performed flawlessly (okay, so we blew an air compressor line) through some nice technical setions. My daughter screamed, laughed and giggled in approval of the Jeep's capabilities, while my wife wasn't so sure about our adventure until we finished our run unscathed.
Thanks again to the Sand Diego 4 Wheelers for another fun day on the trail
