Carry On Wayward Son could be a directive for all fliers nowadays as checked bags now add substantial cost to the price of flying. Carrying on, as opposed to checking, your baggage can save you big bucks. Today I had to fly from the cornfield-circumferenced Four Wheeler Midwest Bureau in northern Illinois to Four Wheeler HQ in Los Angeles. It's Four Wheeler of the Year week so that meant packing a full array of camera gear, gobs of computer gear, tripod, and other odds 'n ends in addition to enough personal clothing for a week on the road. That meant two checked bags that added $40 one-way to the price of my already hefty ticket.
Oh well, the airlines gotta do what they gotta do. I spend alot of time utilizing their services and I think they do a great job. Just remember before your next flight: Carry on your baggage if you can.
