It was a crazy first day at the Indy Fall Jambo! From the wild to the weird, we saw it all. We're here with project Trailhugger, our H3 Alpha project. Today it was docked at the MagnaFlow exhaust booth, which was only fitting considering we just fit the rig with a MagnaFlow system last week.
It's late and we're thrashed, but here's a trippin' overview of what was roaming the fairgrounds today.
It doesn't get much weirder than this, a '62 Triumph TR3A owned by John Knickerbocker. Funny, we don't remember these coming from the factory this way.
For all of you old enough to remember the television show "Rat Patrol," ya just gotta love a TJ fitted with a .50 cal.
We found this incredible '86 CJ at the rock crawl course. It's quite possibly one of the nicest looking trail machines we've ever seen. Built by owner Bill Gardner it features a 4.3L, 904 Chrysler trans, D300 t-case, 4-linked suspension with Fox air shocks and D44 axles with chromoly shafts. Gardner built the rig for his daughters.
Speaking of nice rigs, how 'bout this '68 Kaiser Jeepster Sport Convertible owned by Pat Hughes.
The newest trend in eco-wheeling is wooden 4x4's. Apparently.
Big pipes, big shackle. There's a lot of that going on around here.
A new cruising pattern and use of the entire fairgrounds has really helped to alleviate congestion. Great weather is on tap for tomorrow, so if you're looking for a some Jambo Action, head to Indy.
