We just returned from a couple of days driving in the Columbia River Gorge country along the Washington-Oregon border, and we gotta tell you, if you’ve never been there, you owe it to yourself to visit sometime. The scenery is among the most spectacular you’ll find anywhere in North America, and there’s plenty of good four-wheeling on the many forest roads and high-plains trails you'll find in the area. Even in mid-summer, temperatures were cool for us, and we even ran into a bit of rain. Happily, we got a nice rainbow (and a hearty salmon dinner) for our efforts).
We also spied some unusual off-road rigs, like this snow-chained behemoth found parked behind a diner in a place called BZ Corners (we think). We’re not sure why we snapped this pic . . . guess we’re a little tired of blogging about GMC Cyclones and the like. So, just for gits and shiggles today, we’ll send out a box of FW goodies to the first guy who can authoritatively I.D. this pile---make and model year please. Happy tractoring.
