The cause of this spectacular crash was a broken lower passenger-side four-link bar on the Extreme Overkill truck. This allowed the rear axle to skew on landing, which made the truck completely uncontrollable for driver Kirk Dabney, who, at that point, was just along for a wicked ride. High-speed, end-over-end monster truck crash are rare and to this day this particular crash is one of the most incredible I've ever seen.
