We're here in Attica, Indiana, at the Badlands Off Road Park for the XRRA Eastern Finals and it looks to be a wild weekend of rock racing action.    

The first thing that impressed us was the incredible organization of the XRRA team.  We got there mid-afternoon and everything was set up and ready for competition.  The staff (some of which is pictured here) was relaxed and ready to move into the tech inspection phase.

The second thing that impressed us was the course.  It's sick!  Huge rock climbs and steep dropoffs are the order of the day tomorrow.  Dual courses will be used so a pair of trucks will run at the same time.  If this course looks vaguely familar it's because it's the same area where we had the Real Truck Club Challenge Obstacle Course.      

The third and final thing that impressed us was the friendliness of the teams.  We hung out with the boyz from the Jeeper's Den in Orlando, Florida, and Bray Motorsports from Lexington, Kentucky.  Great folks.

In addition to the racing action there will be an opportunity to take home some cool raffle prizes including a Nintendo Wii and an Axial R/C car among many other things.  All proceeds from this raffle will help fund neuroblastoma research.  More info on this can be found at www.bandofparents.org.   

We visited with our friend Lori from the Badland for a while too.  We tried to chat with Badlands owner Kyle Knosp, but as usual he was busy working on some trails in the park.
