Yes, we are back from the Rubicon, no we didn't get lost. We have just been really busy catching up after being out of the office for a week. We'll be doing a story in an upcoming issue, but here are a few pics of the 'Con Artist on the 'Con for your enjoyment.

When Jeep first agreed to give us the 'Con Artist, we thought it would be great to build up something that is more relatable to our readers. We decided on a daily driver/weekend warrior rig that would get 35s on it, with enough armor to safely take us over the Rubicon Trail. This trip was our proof of concept and our JK did amazing.

Out of the 10 or so rigs, we were the only long wheelbase rig on 35s and while used our armor and lockers a little bit more than everyone else, we got through the trail with barely any damage and no stucks. The Rubicon Express kit worked better than we could have imagined, especially with the Light Racing Jounce update, the Expedition One bumpers were flawless, the Poly Sliders awesome, and the Off Road Evolution trail table a blessing at the campsite.

Present and wheeling were representatives from ARB, Bilstein, Kilby, Poly Performance, Rubicon Express, Triple XXX Traction, Cappa from JP Magazine, Robin, along with our Publishers Steve and David.

The Bottom line is that we couldn't be happier with Project 'Con Artist. It tackled hundreds of miles of highway, hit the trail with no failures, and drove home with perfect alignment. What more could you ask for in a daily driver? We feel we have set up the ultimate DD JK and would build it all over again the same way.

I'll do a follow-up blog with the products we used and how they worked on the trail in detail, but for now, enjoy our photos and look for the Rubicon article in a few months.
