I spent most of last week editing photos for the Top Truck Challenge '08 story, which will publish in the December issue of Four Wheeler. Yeah, it takes a long time to wade through thousands of incredible images. However, I did manage to get out of the office for a few hours to bolt some N-fab bars and Daystar lights onto our farm-based Super Duty.
Ever since we increased the ride height by installing the Superlift 4-inch suspension and larger tires it's been a bit of a challenge to climb into the cab, so we installed a new N-fab product for our extended cab Super Duty. They're called the six-step Nerf-Steps. This pair of bars are cool because they tuck close to the body and have an added pair of steps so reaching into the bed isn't such a chore. They simply bolt on and they're super strong.
We also had to address our Super Dutys terrible stock headlights. To solve this we bolted on another N-fab product called the Pre-Runner bar. Yep, this quality piece simply bolted on and it gave us a great mounting location for a trio of powerful Daystar lights.
Finally, since our truck is used to tow trailers quite a bit and plow snow in the winter, we needed to add some strong rear lighting. To do this we installed N-fabs Rear-Runner bar, which holds a pair of Daystar lights.
As you can see, the new parts didn't stay clean for long.
You will be able to read all about the parts and the install in the November issue of Four Wheeler.
