And It Hasn't Aged Well...

While Ken was reminiscing about his beloved Scout, I went digging through my personal photo archives, and yes - Pay Dirt! I found what I was looking for....

Ken's Scout!

Talking about not aging well, a few years back I was snooping around the Brubaker compound when I came across a curiosity in a barn (yes, a real barn) - a badly forgotten Scout.  Like a dead horse hidden behind a few bails of hay in the darkest rodent and insect infested corner of the barn, the old Scout made no sounds when poked with a stick (although, now that I think it about it, it possibly meowed...).

The was not just any Scout - it was one that not only was home to many families of cats, but one that even in its obvious state of disrepair presented no rust in certain body panels! Could this have been the long lost fiberglass Scout II? You decide! Even looking like this, the cool factor (minus the urine smell and feline feces) was extremely high. I was tempted to open the door and sit in the driver's seat to pretend what it was like to pilot the old warhorse, but there were at least 5 kittens in the way, possibly diseased, and I didn't want the precarious door hinges to fail and be the one responsible for a door-less Scout (keep in mind it is not a Jeep - doors should be on it).

And just so Ken doesn't come hunt me down for revealing the condition of this once prized 4x4, here is a picture of my little girl who just turned 1!
