Graham's Titan

Well The Best in the Desert Terrible Town 250 race happened this past weekend and the team I co-drove for didn't win this time. However, the effort resulted in some awesome feedback on the newly re-configured Nissan Titan Class 8 race truck and some new products we tested.

We tested Evans Waterless coolant and found the stuff worked awesome! Chick here to learn what this new non aqueous coolant can do for your engine.

We also tested NCD Customs new billet aluminum upper J-Arm assembly and can say they work awesome! Check out NCDs go-fast products for Nissan Titans and Ford F-150s.

While 1 lap out of 3 is hardly a victory in racing, the lessons learned about the products we tested are invaluable.

What we learned:

The Maxxis Trepador tires performed well, but 37-inch versions are a must for desert racing. (we ran 35s)

The rear suspension will likely need to be reconfigured prior to the Baja 500 this June because the old leaf spring technology simply could not keep up with the front IFS long travel arrangement.

The 5.6L Titan V8 loves to rev and is plenty capable of powering a 6,000-lb truck over serious desert terrain.

Another TT getting it.

Here are some shots from the race.
