Friday, 4/18/08, Baytown, Texas:  We're here at the new-for-'08 Baytown, Texas, 4Wheel Jamboree at Houston Raceway Park 

Even though the show doesn't open until tomorrow we were prowling the grounds.  We ran into the Official Tech Club, the Banged Up Off-Road folks, as they were putting the finishing touches on the Toyota Trail Teams off-road course.  This course will offer Jambo-goers the chance to drive new Toyota 4x4s on a specially-designed course.  Hmmm... we have a rental Mustang.  Wonder how it would do...

As is common at 4Wheel Jamborees there looks to be a large Performance Marketplace.  Rancho, Mickey Thompson, Superlift and 4Wheel Parts were some of the many manufacturers we saw set up and ready to rock.

Check this out.  This is Special Events huge new-for-'08 Main Stage and it is making its debut here in Texas.  What is this, Lollapalooza?

The show hasn't even started yet and the Show 'n Shine area is already sporting some big Texas iron.  We saw some classic, cutting-edge and MASSIVE rigs today.  Just what we would expect in the great state of Texas.

SO WHAT ARE WE DOING HERE?  Well, we're shooting lots of rigs for Reader's Rigs Magazine as well as Four Wheeler.  We're also shooting all the action for an upcoming issue of Four Wheeler.  If you're in the area stop in and say howdy. We hope to have a blog and some more pics tomorrow night so check back.
