It looks like select Toyota dealers will be getting a special edition Toyota Tundra, blessed by the Ironman himself.
Our pals over at www.pickuptruck.com are reporting that Ivan “Ironman” Stewart, who earned the name from all his solo desert races and winning the Baja 500 a record 17 times, is involved with a new project – making the new Toyota Tundra cool.
The sweet Ivan IRONMAN Steward Signature Edition Tundra is coming, courtesy of www.motiveclub.com. This special 4WD Tundra is no sticker and badge package, it was co-developed with the Ironman himself and will come with big tires, trick alloy wheels, tuned exhaust, cool limited edition numbered badges and a billet and carbon-fiber shifter modeled from Ivan’s own grip. Ivan even had his say in some of the design elements, such as removal of the light bar that was
to be part of the package.
These trucks are a numbered, limited-edition series will be available only through Toyota Dealers starting this Spring. The components list includes all top-end sponsors of Ivan’s Protruck Series race trucks: Alcoa wheels, General tires, Magnaflow exhaust, Bilstein shocks and Hurst shifters.
There will be 2 stages of the Ironman Tundra. Stage 1 will include 20-inch Alcoa forged alloy wheels, General Tire AT2 All-Terrains, Bilstein 5100 Series shocks, a Magnaflow cat-back exhaust, a Hurst billet and carbon-fiber shifter, and a sequentially numbered dash plate. Stage 2 adds Toyota Racing Development's new supercharger with, according to www.pickuptruck.com - 504hp! We’ll update you when we hear what the pricing will be.
This should tide you over until the Raptor comes out.
