Long forgotten by the 4x4 community of today, General Tire, just this week made a big splash with a serious race tire, sponsorships, and goals to own Baja.


The New Grabber

Watch out BFG, Toyo and others General is getting back to their roots with a whole new tire designed to handle the rigors of Baja racing and more.

Take a look at General's multi-angle assult:

General Tire will be the spec tire for the Ivan ”Ironman” Stewart ProTruck class for the 2008 off-road season.  The Grabber competition tire will debut on the ProTruck class at the Baja 500.

General Tire will be title sponsor for the Scott Steinberger/PCI Racing #7 Trophy Truck for the 2008 season.  Steinberger and his co-driver for the Mint 400, Mike Childress, will run exclusively on the new General Tire Grabber®  competition tires.  Steinberger and Childress will pilot a Ford F-150 Trophy Truck with a 795 HP 442 CI Ford V8 powerplant.

General Tire will be the official tire for the inaugural season of the 2008 KMC Wheels TROPHYLITE Championship Series Presented by KC HiLiTES.

General Tire will be the title sponsor of the new General Tire Mint 400 Race when the classic desert contest returns on March 29, 2008.

General Tire will be tital sponsor of Team KORE's Stock Full 2008 Race campane.

The new Grabber competition tires are designed in size 37x 12.50R17 for class 1, 7S, 7 unlimited, 8, Stock Full and Trophy Truck.

The Protruck series will run on the smaller 35-inch version.
